Pit is a Luxembourgish percussionist, composer and arranger. With his work, he seeks to expand both the solo and chamber music repertoire for percussion instruments.

His arrangements focus on works from the romantic and impressionist period – a repertoire he deeply identifies with, which is why he is constantly looking for ways to interpret this music on his instrument.

As a percussionist, he won first prizes at the Swiss Percussion Competition and the Yamaha Music Europe Foundation Vienna where he played his self-arranged Ciaccona by Johann Sebastian Bach on marimba and the Prelude to Parsifal by Richard Wagner on vibraphone.

Pit was born and raised in Luxembourg where he took his first percussion lessons with Freddy Michéa and Bob Morhard, as well as piano, saxophone and conducting classes.

He later entered the class of Emmanuel Séjourné, Stephan Fougeroux and Denis Riedinger in Strasbourg (France), before studying with Martin Grubinger, Guido Marggrander, Erwin Falk, Maxime Pidoux, Holger Brust and Viacheslav Stakhov in Salzburg (Austria), where he graduated with a master’s degree in March 2025.

After completing the academy of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO), he held temporary contracts at the Dortmund Philharmonic as well as the Stuttgart State Opera and started as principal timpanist at the Philharmonie Südwestfalen Siegen in January 2026.
